MLK DAY IS JANUARY 20 FOR THE PARISH AND COMMUNITY
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY OF SERVICE at St. Hyacinth Church, Westbrook will hold its 6th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 20, 9-11:30 am in the church hall, sponsored by the Social Justice & Peace Committee. The day will feature a free pancake breakfast and free services offered by volunteers, including haircuts, manicures, blood pressure screenings, COVID-19 and flu shots, dental services, legal consultation, and more.

Knights ANNUAL VARIETY SHOW
ANNUAL VARIETY SHOW: The Westbrook council of the Knights of Columbus is continuing its annual variety show at St. Hyacinth with Louis Philippe as director and emcee. The show will occur on Saturday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. In the meantime, anyone who is interested in participating (singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, etc.,) is encouraged to contact Louis ([email protected]) or Ed Rielly ([email protected]). You definitely do not have to be a professional to participate!!!

HYACINTH FAMILY FAITH FORMATION, SACRAMENTS & YOUTH MINISTRY: Meets the 1st Sunday of each month at 4:30pm in the church hall. Sacraments class meets the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10:30am (after Mass) in the church hall.
Sacraments class will have Reconciliation on Sunday, March 17, 2024 after the 9:30 am Mass.
ST. HYACINTH CHILDREN’S LITURGY Sunday at 9:30 Mass. All children ages 1-8, children over 8 can be helpers. Parents are encouraged to come down with younger children.
REMINDER – CONFIRMATION AND 1ST COMMUNION: Every child must complete a two-year Sacrament Preparation Process (regardless of his/ her grade and/or age) that includes formation opportunities for parents/guardians. This policy is required of all parishes/clusters throughout the Diocese of Portland. ➢ Sacrament Preparation Process - Year 1 – Initial formation in the faith * For children in First (1st) grade and those in Second (2nd) grade when they are just beginning a Faith Formation program. * Sacrament Preparation Year 1, NOT First (1st) Grade. ➢ Sacrament Preparation Process - Year 2 – Immediate preparation for Sacraments * For children who have completed Sacrament Preparation Year 1. Sacrament Preparation Year 2, NOT Second (2nd) Grade.
